Brian is an experienced strategic thought leader with strengths in turning around, managing, and enabling IT services organizations to exceed business and customer satisfaction goals across Big 4 consulting, banking, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, and software companies. He is recognized for leading, mentoring and coaching high-performance teams, and guiding the successful design and delivery of portfolio of services, projects, and solutions to Fortune 500 clients.
Most recently he was an Assistant Vice President within the Project Management Shared Services Organization for Mass Mutual Financial Group, core member of team that built the methodology, programs, and best practices for new shared services organization that increased visibility across portfolio of projects and achievement of goals.
Prior to his role with MassMutual, Brian was the Director of Strategic Initiatives for Aetna where he led a team of experienced program managers responsible for planning, consulting and executing on ~$100MM portfolio of initiatives. He Implemented and executed on strategic planning process and operating model to optimize business results and provide a consistent and proactive management of the top initiatives.
Prior to joining Aetna, Brian held progressive program and project management positions with GE, BMO Financial Group, BP-Amoco, Ernst & Young, LLP, Hewitt Associates and State Farm Insurance.
Brian has been a guest speaker at universities and conferences on professional development and project management. Brian is a member of Project Management Institute, National Black MBA Association and CALIBR (An Executive Leadership Council affiliate).
Brian received his B.S. degree in Computer Information Systems/Marketing from Drake University in Des Moines, IA and a M.B.A. in Finance and Management from Loyola University-Chicago. In addition, Brian is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Six Sigma Green Belt.
