The French Quarter
The French Quarter is the oldest section of the City of New Orleans. Founded in 1718 by Jean-Baptiste Le Moyne de Bienville. Today, the district is commonly known as the French Quarter, or simply "the Quarter." Join a walking tour of the city or explore the French Quarter in your own time and admire the architecture, culture and cuisine.
From dark swamps to sun-kissed marshes playing host to a range of wildlife including herons and egrets, the Mississippi River Delta is a watery but photogenic wonderland. Climb aboard an airboat and explore the Bayou but watch out for those alligators and snakes!
